Spolu
International Foundation, Netherlands.
In
order to avoid further marginalization, Amaro Drom in partnership
with Spolu International Foundation, encourages the creation
of strong and independent Roma communities whose members participate
as respected citizens in the overall society, while keeping
their identity and being free to express it. Improvement of
the relation between Roma and local authorities, representatives
of local institutions and other people of the ethnic majority
is an important aspect of this process.
Amaro Drom and Spolu encourage Roma to unite and to organize
themselves in order to improve their social and economic position.
